About the Company: Danesmead Advisory is a specialist sustainability consultancy focused on alternative investment managers, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real assets. We provide both advisory and outsourced sustainability support, helping clients navigate regulation, strengthen investment processes, and deliver credible sustainability outcomes. Founded in 2020, Danesmead is a female-led, independent firm working with ~100 global investment managers representing over $1.2tn in AUM. We are known for combining technical regulatory expertise with pragmatic, investor-focused implementation.
Job Description: We are looking for a Junior Analyst to join our Sustainability Consulting team. This is an entry-level role suited to a recent graduate or candidate with up to one year of relevant experience. You will support a wide range of client work across regulatory reporting, sustainability strategy, data analysis, and research. The role offers broad exposure to hedge funds and private equity managers, and a steep learning curve in sustainable finance. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to both client delivery and the day-to-day running of a fast-growing consultancy.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of sustainability and responsible investment policies, frameworks and strategies
Assist with regulatory and voluntary reporting (e.g. PRI, TCFD, SFDR, SDR, EDCI, ISSB)
Analyse sustainability and portfolio data, identify trends, and flag inconsistencies or gaps (including working with large or imperfect datasets)
Prepare high-quality client deliverables including reports, presentations and briefing materials
Monitor sustainability metrics across client portfolios
Conduct targeted research on asset manager practices, regulatory developments, and industry trends
(e.g. how different hedge funds approach TCFD or biodiversity)Build case studies and research topics to support client recommendations and thought leadership
Research prospective clients to support business development activity
Support the preparation, formatting and review of client materials and reports
Qualifications and Skills:
Recently graduated or up to 1 year of relevant experience (e.g. sustainability, investment management, consulting, or similar analytical roles)
Strong interest in sustainable finance / responsible investment
Familiarity with key frameworks (e.g. PRI, TCFD, SFDR, SDR, GRESB, ISSB) is helpful but not required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills; comfortable working with data
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Organised, proactive, and willing to take ownership of tasks
Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced team environment
Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret information clearly and pragmatically (not just summarise)
What We Offer:
· Direct exposure to leading hedge funds and private equity firms
· Exposure to real client work from day one, rather than structured “graduate programme” rotations
· Experience across regulation, sustainability and investment processes
· A collaborative, flexible and non-hierarchical working environment
· Opportunity to take on responsibility early and grow with the business
· Competitive salary and benefits
Application Instructions: To apply for this position, please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your interest in the role and relevant experience. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
