The PRI held its annual Signatory General Meeting on 10th September 2024, focusing on the outcome of its 2024 strategy consultation and its next steps in terms of reporting and progression pathways.

New climate-related legislation, SB  253 and SB 261, was signed into law last year by Californian legislators requiring companies operating in California to report on both greenhouse gas emissions and climate-related risks. A proposal to delay its implementation from 2026 to 2028 has been rejected.

The TISFD seeks to identify what the key social and inequality-related financial disclosures made by companies should be, as well as to advocate for the uniform adoption of the recommended disclosure requirements by global standard setters.
